Saratoga lands LapLink
South Australian-based Saratoga Distribution has picked up an Australia-wide distribution contract for the popular LapLink file transfer software product after signing a deal with master distributor, Pacific Mobile Link.
Saratoga managing director Ivar Stanelis was "delighted" to pick up the deal, saying these products were "leading edge" and highly popular.
"There are also attractive licensing options," Stanelis said. "We deliver to the channel or their customers for free."
The LapLink products - including LapLink Gold and PCsync - were previously distributed by CHA.
Com Tech Communications is Dimension Data AustraliaAs foreshadowed in recent months, IT integrator Com Tech Communications has officially changed its name to Dimension Data Australia.
In November, South-African based Dimension Data Holdings acquired the remaining 24 per cent of Com Tech to take full control of the Australian integrator.
Dimension Data runs similar operations to Com Tech in over 30 countries. It made international headlines recently by acquiring large IT services firm Proxicom.
Com Tech's education arm will similarly be re-branded as "Dimension Data learning solutions".
The newly named company will also be moving into new premises this week, renovating the six-level Bushell's Building in Sydney. The six-level building was constructed in 1924 and used by the tea company until 1974. Com Tech spent $8 million to restore the building.
