Intel will use IBM's embedded software in the Intel Personal Internet Client Architecture (Intel PICA) for wireless devices and other Internet appliances.
IBM will port the embedded version of its WebSphere Everyplace Suite middleware as well as device tools to the Intel StrongARM processor and future processors based on Intel XScale microarchitecture.
In the Intel PCIA software development kit and hardware reference design guide slated for release later this year, Intel will feature and distribute IBM's device middleware.
