IDC Australia predicts security, storage and managed network services will be some of the top moneymakers between 2002 and 2005.
Projections from the analyst's ongoing market intelligence and advisory services predict the worldwide market recovery will start in the second half of the year, with Australian IT markets to start bouncing back as early as March.
IDC also foresees "networked solutions" replacing "infrastructure" as the IT buzzword of the year.
According to IDC, the top 10 technologies to watch in the mid-term are IP virtual private networks, Internet services, network storage, Web hosting, voice over IP, CRM software, handheld companions, application service provider services, mobile content solutions and security solutions.
