Multimedia accessories distributor, iWorld, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Singapore-based iPod accessory design outfit, Sumajin.
The distributor's managing director, Chad DeClase, said the new range would provide more flexibility for customers wanting access to OEM iPod accessories.
"We also have DLO, which is a higher end product, but Sumajin will be more relevant for some of our lower end customers," he said. "We brought it on to complement and fill some holes in our range."
DeClase estimated Sumajin would boost its bottom line by about $1.5 million annually. Sumajin also produce laptop bags.
"I'm aiming at larger retailers with a consumer base that is price conscious like Big W. They are not trying to diminish the product quality but they are really price comparative," he said.
DeClase said Sumajin products came bundled with a skin, headphone covers and a cable management system.
"Sumajin are looking to give their customers a whole package, unlike other manufacturers that separate their SKUs," he said.
