Cellnet has recruited Paulo Mpliokas as NSW sales manager. He previously spent three years as peripherals manager at Ingram Micro and replaces Grant Osfield, who has left the company to do consulting work.
General sales manager, Martin Bicknell, said Mpliokas would focus on driving the company's sales across its main focus areas in IT, telco and retail. He will report to Bicknell.
"The major plan is to grow the business substantially and aggressively in NSW, which seems to be a fairly strong region for us," Bicknell said.
The Queensland-based distributor has also appointed Julie Woodward to the newly created role of national retail account manager. She previously held a retail position at Ingram Micro but was made redundant when the distributor decided not to have a retail presence in Brisbane. Bicknell said Cellnet was looking to accelerate its push into the retail sector. Woodward is based at its Brisbane headquarters.
Julian Phua has also joined Cellnet in a marketing and product development role. His resume includes a business manager's position at Toshiba.
