Hartin to leave Altech

Altech national sales manager, Kevin Hartin, has resigned from the distributor and will leave the company before Christmas.
He is leaving after two years in the role. Hartin said he had contracted some database work in the immediate future. He was then looking to secure one of several positions which weren't available until next year.
"I'm aware of a couple of opportunities and I've got those on the boil," he said. "I can't say too much, but it will be exciting. It will possibly be more of a marketing role than what I've done here."
As veteran of the distribution channel, Hartin's move won't see the apple fall too far from the tree.
"I've been in and out of distribution for the past 20 years," he said. "Distribution is where my heart is - whether that's at a distributor or a supplier to a distributor."
Hartin said he had enjoyed his time at Altech. Leaving hadn't been on his mind until the new roles came along.
"In all honesty, had these other opportunities not presented themselves, I could have happily continued on here and wouldn't have been looking for that next step in my career," he said. "I came in when Altech as on the cusp of some good growth and I've seen the business go from $60 million to more than $100 million in revenue. I certainly have no regrets."
