The Internet is slowly becoming the alternate classroom of the future. That reality came a step closer when online education company, myinternet, won the Australian Information Industry Association’s (AIIA) iAward for Innovation in Software.
The trophy was awarded to the company’s myclasses virtual learning environment program which provides classroom-based communication and content tools.
Creative Digital Technology and Frontier Software were also contenders for the award.
The gong was received at CeBIT Australia by myinternet’s executive manager of sales, Mark Lamont.
He said that 3500 schools in Australia, the UK, New Zealand and Hong Kong were using myinternet software that allowed them to collaborate with other users in the school, region or education department.
