Epygi Technologies has enhanced its IP-PBX Quadro software and produced two new VoIP gateway models.
Version 4.1 of the software ships with the Quadro IP/PBX models and incorporates several enhanced features such as improvements to the installation and setup process, which now provides a more automated procedure; plug-and-play zero configuration support for Aastra and Snom IP handsets; and distinctive ring tones. It also contains new mobility solutions such as Call Relay and SMS Caller ID Notification, which enables mobile users to utilise the office IP/PBX to make and receive calls and notifications of missed calls.
Epygi is also offering a new XML-based API license for developers that helps to support the integration of third-party applications. The vendor said its 3pCC would be used to develop next generation call centre applications that include Click to Dial and Call Detail Records reporting with Quadro PBXs.
According to the vendor, QuadroM is the first of a new series of 19-inch, metal case, rack-mountable E1/T1-to-SIP gateways. It supports 30 E1 channels per port, and all industry standard codecs including G.729. With enhanced digital signal processing and CPU provisioning, the QaudroM series provides quality levels of echo cancellation and transcoding to low bandwidth codecs like G.729 for sites with bandwidth limitations.
