Juniper Networks has added disaster recovery specialist, Classic Blue, to its Elite reseller ranks.
Classic Blue business unit executive, Brenton Hodder, said its improved status reflected its increasing specialisation and expertise in the security arena. The company was required to certify six staff in the vendor's security products, including SSL, VPN and firewall. These specialist staff would be used to broaden the company's appeal in the NSW, QLD, SA and WA markets, Hodder said.
Classic Blue will be reselling the complete range of network security, enterprise routing range as well as working with Juniper on network and data acceleration platforms.
"The elite partnership strengthens our relationship with Juniper and lets us provide the right solution for our clients," he said.
The networking vendor's A/NZ channel director, Sander Dales, said Classic Blue's entry into its elite ranks was part of its efforts to grow a strong regional and global partner network.
"Classic Blue has a significant pedigree in providing business continuity and disaster recovery facilities along with full outsourced services," he said. "They will be able to support our products with key customer services." Other players with Juniper Elite status include Gen-i, IBM, Optus, Telstra and NEC.
Classic Blue was acquired by IBM in January. Since then, Hodder said it had used its IBM links to broaden partner relationships and expand into a wider variety of services.
"The acquisition gave us a great opportunity to enforce the right skills, expertise and supplier relationships that we need to bring the right solutions to our clients," he said.
