Melbourne-based ICT Distribution has struck a deal with Telstra to supply its Next G network and mobile software applications.
Managing director, Ben O'Leary, said he wanted to feed the demand of IT resellers that were looking to supply a whole telecommunications solution. The fledgling distributor has been operating since June.
"Resellers offer servers, PCs, notebooks, PDAs and mobility hardware but they have never really had the ability to connect them to a telco network. This is really the last piece of the puzzle," O'Leary said. The range will be targeted towards SMB and enterprise. O'Leary is looking to appoint about 1000 resellers by June.
"We already have a couple of hundred reseller applications. Given that the Next G network covers about 98 per cent of the population, we want to make sure we have a good spread of resellers across the country," he said. ICT partners will be given the option of becoming a Telstra Nominated Dealer.
O'Leary said it would offer partners upfront and ongoing commissions as well as marketing funds. ICT has also constructed a partner program that offers online ordering, pre-sales support and services.
