ASG Group has won a deal to provide system integration and management services for the Asia-Pacific Economic Corporation (APEC) 2007 Taskforce. Financial details have not been disclosed.
The WA-based integrator's northern region general manager, Tim Selfridge, said the contract fitted its core technical competencies and clearly demonstrated an ability to provide services on a national scale. The taskforce runs under the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C).
"We currently have a solid long-term relationship with the PM&C in terms of delivering managed services," he said. "We would have had extremely solid competition for this business."
ASG will offer desktop support, project management and integration. Selfridge said it would recruit more staff to cover the delivery of services. "We are constantly bringing on new staff. We will be mapping individuals within the organisation and then supplementing that with additional heads as required," he said.
