IT services outfit, Brennan IT, has recruited Steve Greenwood as state manager in an attempt to boost its Queensland presence. He previously spent 11 years building corporate and government business in the Sunshine State for Optus.
General manager of sales and marketing, Matthew Lovegrove, said the newly created role was prompted by Brennan's acquisition of data solution provider, iExec, in May.
"As a result of the acquisition our presence in Queensland increased to 28 staff," he said. "iExec is a significant part of our business and we wanted to bring in a leadership figure who could continue growth in that state. The business is going through puberty and our growth strategy has been about bolstering the talent pool."
Greenwood plans to increase Brennan's brand awareness through marketing initiatives in the New Year.
"We have to build that brand awareness so people know who we are and what we are capable of," he said. "We will also be cross selling Brennan's telecommunications services and broad management capability into the iExec customer base. There is an opportunity for them to take advantage of some of these additional skills and capabilities that the combined group can bring to the market."
