The Frame Group has become the second local integrator to earn Cisco's Advanced Unified Communication Specialisation. Touchbase was recently award the qualification.
National practise manager for convergence, Marcus Stock, said the new specialisation recognised its previous Cisco achievements and placed them under one banner.
"Over the years Cisco certifications have been recognised as a bench mark," he said. "This certification recognises our engineering and business process skills of deploying Cisco correctly. It also focuses on the other skills we have with IP telephony such as process management."
Stock said it went through an audit of processes for deploying technology and had about 15 staff certified. He was interested in recruiting another 25 staff to aid growth by the end of financial year.
The Frame Group will now have access to training and support services. It can also obtain Cisco Advanced Unified Communications products, including the IP communications range, Unity Connection, Unified CallManager, Messaging, Contact Centre, MeetingPlace and video conferencing products.
"We have always been involved in the mid-tier and enterprise space. We can now bring appropriate technology to that market for people wanting voice, conferencing or integrated data," Stock said.
