BCA gets Patchlink gold

Infrastructure service provider, BCA IT, has been awarded gold status by PatchLink.
NSW branch manager, Roy Pater, said the company was quickly growing its services offering. PatchLink was one of the first products to kick-start its security practice. BCA joins Bridge Point, AGM IT and Commander in the gold partner ranks.
"It is a new area for us. Previously, we have been good at procurement and logistics management but we are now building on storage, virtualisation and security," he said. "One of our key areas of competency is patch management. There are enough people providing security products such as firewalls."
To achieve gold status, BCA committed to revenue targets and have two staff trained as consultants. Gold partners have access to lead generation, pre-sales and technical support as well as joint marketing and sales activities.
PatchLink sales director, Chris Wood, said it was clear BCA had the right competency to offer PatchLink products.
"What we're looking for when we partner with a company is strong services capability," he said. "It is important the customer has a good experience."
