NSC makes contact with NSW Office of Fair Trading

Telephony integrator, NSC Enterprise Solutions, has scored a contract with the NSW Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to deploy Avaya IP telephony services across its $6.8 million contact centre.
Managing director, Craig Neil, said the deal would help increase its reputation in the NSW government sector.
"Most of our government relationships have been within the ACT," he said. "We haven't had a lot of NSW deals; this one is our biggest in NSW to date."
Other contenders for the contract included Cisco, Genesys, Nortel, NEC and Alcatel.
NSC will be replacing OFT's old PABX system with an Avaya IP telephony solution, which will roll all three Sydney-based OFT contact centres into one.
"We compiled a full project, risk and implementation plan as well as call centre control and we looked at how it will all flow," Neil said. "We have so far rolled out the services in their main call centre as well as a number of branch offices and we are currently working in their regional centres such as Dubbo."
In March, NSC received Avaya platinum partner status, which strongly focused on the provision of sales and support services and capabilities. The company is also increasing its staff numbers across the board.
Neil said he hoped to push numbers from 100 to 140 by next year.
"We are doing some extra investments in Melbourne and Perth, plus we are also recruiting more technicians in Adelaide. It's a constantly growing market," he said.
