IPL aims higher with new partners

Telecommunications hardware distributor, IPL Communications, is on the hunt for large resellers as it seeks to ramp up its business toward products covering installations of up to 500 seats.
Currently distributing Alcatel and Avaya equipment up to 300-seat deployments, the distributor plans to step up to the next level with a handful of its existing partners. But according to company director, Dean Joscelyne, it will also add two national resellers.
"Moving into this larger space of up to 500 seats, we can probably use four or five of our existing partners," he said. "On top of that, we'll look for one or two national organisations that might have a specific geographical or vertical market focus."
With the search already underway, new partners are expected to be announced within three months. Also in the works is a four-port phone, fax and EFTPOS device for locations with less than five users.
