inTechnology bulks up for endpoint integrity

Niche security distributor, inTechnology, is broadening its product portfolio in a bid to make a name in endpoint integrity.
Director of sales and marketing, Mark Winter, said it had signed a new partnership with BigFix to carry its security configuration and patch management products.
It would bundle these with Cyber GateKeeper security auditing and control tools from InfoExpress to present resellers with a comprehensive endpoint integrity kit, he said.
inTechnology signed with InfoExpress in December.
"Our focus is strongly on the endpoint security area," Winter said. "Endpoint security relies on a few concepts: 802.1x authentication, which is done by Funk Software, endpoint checking, which is addressed by Cyber GateKeeper, and remediation, which BigFix does. All of the products we have brought on or are bringing on work in this space."
inTechnology has also struck up an exclusive partnership with US-based wireless network security vendor, Cirond Corporation. Its rogue detection product can pinpoint the location of wireless network break-ins.
The vendor recruitment drive follows the purchase of inTechnology's key vendor partner, Funk Software, by Juniper Networks in November.
Winter said the acquisition had seen it gain direct access to Juniper's local reseller base.
Although this had not included wholesale access to the networking vendor's product sets, he was hopeful of having some access in the coming months.
Alongside existing partners, the distributor was looking for resellers targeting vertical markets.
"Previously, our resellers have delivered product, but we have not had solution partners before," Winter said. This meant that in market segments, like education for example, it had not been cost-effective to sell these products.
"Now we have the full solution set, we can bundle and give partners competitive pricing," he said.
To assist resellers, inTechnology has unveiled its Channel Advantage Partner Program (i-CAP).
Incentives on offer include marketing funding and material as well as better price breaks for completing product training.
The distributor has also relocated its main office on Queensland's Gold Coast to increase its support team. Winter said the new space was 600sqm - double the size of its former premises. It had already appointed three new staff, bringing its Australian tally to 15.
The company was now looking for more engineers to bolster its technical capability, he said.
