French Business rules management systems (BRMS) provider, Ilog, has opened its first local office in Sydney to support its partners.
Newly appointed Ilog manager, Stephane Marouani, said there was a strong demand for BRMS in the Australian market, particularly for consulting solutions.
Ilog produces a range of optimisation and BRMS software targeted at the corporate and government sectors.
"We hope this move would bring us closer to our partners and the market space," he said.
Before opening the new office, Ilog already had established partnerships with several integrators, including IBM, CSC and ISI.
The Sydney office would be manned by five staff who would assist partners with sales and technical support as well as pre-sales consulting.
Marouani said he was aiming to work more closely with its current system integrators and business process management vendors.
The company would then look to appointing more partners.
"We want to make sure they understand the product and to give their customers the best possible solution," he said.
Ilog provides partners with marketing tools and a product training program that consists of two levels: tailored towards system integrators and understanding business management solutions.
