Unixpac inks ConSentry deal

Security distributor, Unixpac, has signed up to carry ConSentry Networks' range of network security hardware.
According to the US-based vendor, its LAN control platform provides enterprise organisations with security protection from all illegal and malicious operations within the network in real-time without having to replace switches.
Unixpac managing director, Tom Piotrowski, claimed resellers and system integrators operating in the enterprise market stood to benefit most from the new products.
"The current technology is still very cumbersome for medium-sized organisations to configure," Piotrowski said.
"ConSentry has created a product that bridges these difficulties at a cheaper price."
Unixpac is currently developing reseller incentives for the product.
Piotrowski estimated the company was anticipating a revenue boost of about $500,000 in the financial year.
ConSentry changed in name from Tidal Networks in February when it began developing its own product range.
