A new software tool from Reckon Intuit in the area of payroll management could be a double-barrelled winner for Australian IT retailers. With annual sales of payroll software estimated to be in the vicinity of $150 million per year in Australia, the locally developed Quick Payroll is going to be good business. However, with the intricacies required to manage the payroll of permanent and casual staff, it may also be the tool a lot of retailers are looking for to relieve a business headache.
Quick Payroll has been specifically developed for new and specialist businesses with 10 or less employees. "There is demand for payroll software that is exclusively developed to suit smaller type businesses employing less than 10 employees," said Greg Wilkinson, managing director of Reckon Intuit.
Quick Payroll software handles all the calculations for employee pay, tax or termination, workers compensation, deductions sundries and allowances, weekly, fortnightly or monthly pay, commissions, pay adjustments, annual and sick leaves and special leave and long-service. It maintains all employee details, tax file numbers, bank details, remuneration details, next of kin, commencement date and pay rates as well as superannuation and other deductions.
RRP for Quick Payroll is $150.
