Micrografx draws up new channel plans

Having gone back to the drawing board to redesign its channel strategy, enterprise graphics software company Micrografx has returned with the iGrafx Certified Reseller program designed to consolidate the company's product offerings with its deployment methods.
Evangelising the initiative's adoption in Australia is the program's creator Chad Riseling, Micrografx's general manager, channel sales, for the Americas.
"Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our reseller channel is key to the success of Micrografx. The program was six months in development and tightly fits the needs of the channel," said Riseling. "It is also flexible in its implementation depending on the individual needs of each channel partner."
Linda Birchall, managing director of Micrografx Asia Pacific, told ARN the program follows the refocusing and launch of the company's end-to-end graphics solution, iGrafx Systems, and is intended to arm resellers with the necessary tools to increase customer purchase orders.
"The program creates new opportunities for growth, strengthens our partnerships and simplifies selling a Micrografx solution," said Birchall.
Broken down, the iGrafx Certified Reseller program targets the needs of different reseller groups said Riseling, with Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers to reflect the level of service and support offered by Micrografx.
Benefits include marketing initiatives, lead generation and Web-based and personal technical support, claims Riseling, with resellers for the Platinum and Gold Partner levels committed to including the meeting of minimum revenue forecasts, having a product specialist on staff, and paying a nominal yearly fee.
