Network integrator and Internet development company Com Tech Communications has announced $505 million in revenue for the 1998/99 financial year, a 53 per cent increase over last year's figure of $330 million.
Net profit after tax for the year was up by 50 per cent on the previous year.
For the coming 1999/2000 financial year, Com Tech forecasts voice data and video integration, greater utilisation of IP networks, Windows 2000 implementations, and continuing development of e-commerce solutions around both Web and call centre technology to generate significant business.
Com Tech's managing director, David Shein, said the company was around four times bigger than some publicly listed companies and has never had a dollar of debt throughout its history.
According to Shein, Com Tech was anticipating growth in every area of its operations during the coming year. "As we saw this year, e-commerce will continue to be leveraged to drive business for services, education and the distribution business.
"Our company is extremely well positioned in the areas key to e-commerce, network services, security, Web services and call centre technology," he said.
"We expect growth in our market share across all these areas in line with the growth we're seeing in the marketplace of organisations implementing these solutions."
