Mitch Radomir, former NetStar Networks business development manager and one of the IT industry's more ubiquitous figures, last week started a new job at Nortel Networks.
Radomir's new post at the Internetworking behemoth is market portfolio manager, a role designed to allow him to promote Nortel Networks' e-business technologies. One source said Nortel is aiming to significantly raise its profile as an e-business solutions provider with the appointment.
Oliver Gnass, Nortel Asia-Pacific marketing director, said Radomir's newly created role sees him become something of an e-business evangelist.
"Mitch is going to be a leader for defining the e-business marketplace for Nortel," he said.
When ARN spoke to Radomir recently about the move away from a channel company, he indicated his decision to join Nortel was motivated by the promise of new opportunities.
