Systems integrator Data#3 has signed a Heads of Agreement to acquire the systems integration business of Melbourne-based Beethoven Computer Services.
Data#3's managing director, John Grant, said the acquisition was a perfect addition to the national business model it had developed during the past nine months.
According to Grant, Beethoven's systems integration business had recently invested in a network management centre which was forecasting sales of $10 million for the 2000 year, and which had recorded growth of more than 30 per cent during the past year.
"Over the past year we've been intentionally moving more of our business into the services arena, and in particular into many of the areas Beethoven has also pursued, including network management, security and internet communications," Grant said.
The acquisition does not include Beethoven's remaining software development arm.
