<p>- Citrix promotes from within as Gary O’Brien, former director of marketing ANZ and Asia Pacific, takes on higher leadership responsibility -</p>
<p>Sydney, 1 October, 2003 - Citrix Systems, Inc., the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced the appointment of Gary O’Brien as area vice president of Australia/New Zealand (ANZ). In this role, O’Brien will be responsible for the company’s operations in Australia and New Zealand.</p>
<p>“Gary O’Brien is well-qualified to lead our continued growth in ANZ as we focus on providing enterprise customers with the benefits of the on-demand enterprise through our access infrastructure software,” said John Burris, senior vice president of worldwide sales &amp; services at Citrix. “He has extensive sales, marketing and operational experience at Citrix and has been integral to the company’s regional growth over the past three years.”</p>
<p>O’Brien, who has been with Citrix since 2000, has provided marketing and sales leadership throughout Asia, Australia and New Zealand, built partner relationships and strengthened channel and alliance programs.</p>
<p>O’Brien led the successful, first-ever iForum Conference in Sydney, in May of this year, which attracted over 1,000 Citrix customers and partners to this two-day event. He also drove the recent product marketing strategy and activities for the release of the Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite in Asia-Pacific and ANZ.</p>
<p>Prior to joining Citrix, O’Brien held a number of senior management roles both in Australia and Hong Kong. He was national sales manager, Australia and New Zealand for IBM’s Personal Computing Group, where he played a key role in the development and implementation of sales and marketing programs. In addition, he was responsible for managing IBM’s Intel server products across Australia and New Zealand, ASEAN, Greater China, Korea and Japan.</p>
