Citrix Systems Asia-Pacific is tinkering with its distribution model, announcing today it has added LAN Systems to its line-up.
LAN Systems joins Express Data and MUA in Citrix's three-distributor model in Australia. LAN Systems will distribute Citrix's full line of products, and throughout this month the vendor will be winding down the distribution of its products through CHA.
Moheb Moses, sales director for Citrix Systems Asia-Pacific, said CHA had been instrumental in getting Citrix where it was today, but the directions the companies were moving in were "diverging". CHA will continue to be one of Citrix's authorised learning centres in Australia.
"It's a very gradual process, but the intention is that by the end of this month CHA will not be distributing our products and LAN Systems will be fully on board," Moses said.
He said the appointment of LAN Systems as a distributor of Citrix Systems was "a significant enhancement to our local operation. LAN Systems' proven ability to provide additional value to the products it distributes . . . and its knowledge-driven consulting services, will expand our reach to a new range of resellers throughout Australia."
Nick Verykios, LAN Systems' chief marketing officer, said the company puts a lot of effort into selecting the right product mix for its resellers. "Using Citrix, we can deliver the time and cost efficiencies that this model (LAN Systems' Teleconnect strategy) promises," he said. "Without Citrix, our Teleconnect infrastructure equation would be incomplete.
"It's the technology that LAN Systems offers which ultimately gives our resellers a competitive edge and helps them achieve their goals," Verykios said.
