Enterprise resource planning (ERP) manufacturing specialist, SSA Global, has added several new reseller partners in Australia. The news comes as the vendor attempts to make indirect channels represent one-fifth of its total business.
The new dealers include Pro Initiative, Dialogue, E-Enterprise, LDL, Datec, Polaris and Infinity. They join three other recruits announced earlier this year - Ob Tech, My Workplace Solutions and Operational Solutions.
"We would like indirect channels to be generating 20 per cent of overall revenue," SSA's general manager for Asia-Pacific and Japan channels and alliances, Michael Dunne said.
SSA's debut channel sale in Australia was made by Ob Tech earlier this year to printing company Selbys. The Max+ ERP product was intended to streamline business processes and improve visibility in the customer's new purpose-built printing works.
"Having completed several local [Max+] pilot sites we are looking for partners who can take this proven solution to the SMB manufacturing and distribution market in Australia and New Zealand," Dunne said.
A new certification and accreditation scheme has also been announced as part of an ongoing global consolidation of channel programs. Existing partners will be asked to complete an initial training session to understand the program before moving to full certification and compliance within 12 months.
For partners concerned about any additional work, Dunne said the new certification process was pragmatic rather than onerous.
"There is also a benefit to resellers in their heightened credibility as a certified partner, as well as in access to other program components," Dunne said.
He said the highest level of certification would enable a partner to sell, implement and support solution sets.
As part the new strategy SSA also announced a commitment to its 'sweet spot' vertical markets of process manufacturing, electronics, aerospace, industrial machinery and equipment industries.
