American Power Conversion (APC) has named M+H Power Systems and Eltek Pacific as Australian partners for its three-phase delta conversion UPS product range called Silcon.
Leanne Cunnold, APC Australia's general manager, said the new channel partners would provide sales and service support exclusively for APC's three-phase Silcon product range.
"Due to the complex nature of the three-phase UPS business, APC needs dedicated partners who have the experience and skill to sell the technology as well as support it," Cunnold said. "We're keen to work with M+H Power Systems and Eltek Pacific to grow our three-phase UPS market share in Australia during 2000."
Lindsay Cordner, M+H Power Systems director of sales, said the APC deal would give his organisation a chance to offer a wider range of products and services to its existing customers, as well as extending the client base.
"M+H Power Systems will have a dedicated team involved in selling and servicing the Silcon range, and is able to offer nationwide service. This will effectively increase APC's high-end enterprise presence throughout Australia," Cordner said.
Neil Ewen, general manager of Eltek, said: "The convergence of the information technology and telecommunications sectors has meant that many of our customers are now requesting UPSs to back up peripheral communications and IT equipment alongside their traditional 48Vproducts. APC's Silcon range is a perfect complement to our own range of 24V and 48V modular DC systems for the telcoms and data communications markets."
