Software distributor Aeronaut has announced its new channel strategy to be spearheaded by a specially formed company named Intrepid Distribution.
Anticipating that there would be friction if its direct and indirect sales model coexisted under the Aeronaut brand the company created Intrepid to deal solely with its channel operations. "This will stop any perceived conflict from erupting," explained Kerry Acott, marketing manger for Aeronaut.
Intrepid will be responsible for handling products more conducive to the channel model such as consulting services in the telephony market, the Clarion range of products and Seagate software. "With the current free software Seagate is offering, we need channel partners to help with the consultative process. There will be huge opportunities when people want to upgrade this software," Acott said.
Special partner packages will include sales training, lead generations and joint marketing campaigns.
Intrepid is especially looking for resellers able to participate in the consulting side of the business to fill gaps in the company's Queensland and South Australian operations.
