Microsoft integrator Avanade has appointed Trevor Harper as managing director Australia and New Zealand to take charge of the company's overall business operations in the region.
Harper previously held the position of Avanade's business development director and has more than 20 years executive experience in IT.
Avanade has experienced considerable growth in the past 12 months increasing staff from 65 to more than 130.
"I plan to build on that momentum by implementing new growth initiatives in 2004, including the launch of new practice areas complementing our existing .Net solutions, technology infrastructure, enterprise collaboration, and delivery practices," he said.
Before joining Avanade, Harper spent 13 years at IBM and Tandem and more recently was the national defence sales manager at Cisco Systems.
Harper replaces Mark Chrimes who has been promoted to the post of Avanade's area chief executive for the Asia-Pacific region.
