Cable & Wireless Optus and Cisco Systems have teamed up on a joint channel support program called PartnerWays, set up to enable resellers to sell complete connectivity solutions to their customers.
PartnerWays is designed to help Cisco Systems' tier-two resellers provide a one-stop shop to meet their SME customers' internet needs. This involves "solution sets" which include the hardware and software a reseller's customers require to connect to the internet.
"Resellers play a crucial role in educating business owners on how to take advantage of the growth of the internet," said John Filmer, director, enterprise at Cable & Wireless Optus. "From email to ecommerce, resellers are at the frontline of implementing real-world e-solutions."
Kurt Hansen, Cisco's general manager, telecommunications & services provider line of business, said the PartnerWays program was about "doing business better". As part of the launch a PartnerWays website has been set up, and Hansen said it was designed to give its channel partners a competitive edge.
"Through the website, our channel partners can offer their customers the complete end-to-end solution through a single point of contact," Hansen said. "It's smarter, quicker and cost effective as it helps to deliver increased sales."
