Anabelle Bits has been appointed master distributor in Australia for US vendor Ramp Networks, a manufacturer of shared Internet access products for SMEs.
Anabelle Bits will look after Ramp Networks' technical support, logistics, administration and warehousing functions.
The terms of the agreement also involves the distributor providing infrastructure support for Ramp Networks' channel in this country.
Michael Yee, Anabelle Bits' product manager, communications, said the company will provide pre- and post-sales technical support for resellers and distributors, local inventory holdings, and localised marketing programs and support. "I guess it's also a good partnership because they've got a good product and we've got the infrastructure in place," he said.
Yee said Anabelle Bits is now looking for distributors and resellers to market and sell the products to SMEs. "We're actually speaking with a number of distributors at the moment," Yee said. Tecksel was appointed as its first distributor late last year.
Anabelle Bits is looking for other distributors to SME-focused retailers, channel players that could potentially sell Ramp Networks' Web Ramp product into corporates with branch offices.
"Whichever distributors we take on will be complementary to existing distributors by way of customer type or geography," he said.
The company will roll out a range of channel programs over the next 12 months. "We'll be agreeing on the types of programs as we bring on the distributors," Yee said.
