NetOpt gets exclusive PBX deal

Network Optimiser Solutions (NetOpt) has been appointed as exclusive Australian distributor for Epygi Technologies IP PBX products. It will look to recruit 90 resellers nationally.

The deal was the result of Queensland-based NetOpt identifying an SMB market need last year, according to its technical solutions manager, Rick Rand.

As well as specialist telephony partners, the recruitment drive would also include broad-based network resellers, he said.

The Windows-style interface, as well as its plug and play setup, lent itself to non-specialist resellers, Rand said. Bronze, silver and gold tiers applied, with entry-level product margins of 10-25 per cent, he said.

The compatibility of the Epygi's Quadro range with Avaya and other high-end IP solutions meant it was a good fit for branch installation, Rand said.

This would allow internal call routing via IP telephony and could significantly cut toll costs, he said.

With about 1.2 million SMB companies in Australia and 700,000 SOHO operations, Rand said NetOpt was hoping to win between three and five per cent of these markets.

NetOpt aimed to reach 10 per cent of its target by the end of the June, he said.
