Quantum distributor Lan 1 announced this week it will run the local version of Quantum's exclusive partner program for Snap servers, SnapAccess, with the aim of increasing the products' reseller ranks in Australia.
The channel program guarantees resellers exclusive pricing, demo package discounts, partner-only Website access, direct marketing campaigns, collateral kits and POP/POS, free priority technical support and free initial product training and course updates.
The Australian SnapAccess program, unlike the American one, does not tie resellers to strict sales quotas. The only requirements are to purchase a "One-to-Show, One-to-Go" demo package, sign up for the initial product training and continue to sell Snap servers.
"The easiest way to sell the product is to show how it works," said Lan 1's marketing manger, Glenn Jones. "That's why we've placed emphasis on the demo product to be in the reseller partner's hands and to ensure that the reseller has all the necessary training to champion the product."
The Snap server comes in 10GB, 20GB and 40GB configurations and delivers full cross-platform file sharing in mixed Windows NT, NetWare, Unix, Linux and/or Macintosh environments, the company claims.
