Ramp Networks has expanded its Australian distribution structure to include Tech Pacific, Namlea, Hitech Distribution and J Mills Distribution, the company reports.
According to national sales and marketing manager Michael Yee, the decision to increase its distribution partners from one to 5 is based on sharp increases in the demand for Internet access throughout the country.
Yee said that rather then compete with present distributors Tecksel, the new players would complement existing channels by focusing on SME verticals and taking Ramp Networks offerings into different states.
The proposed distribution structure will see Tech Pacific operating as the national broad-based distributor of the products with Hitech Distribution focusing on the South Australian arm, and J Mills injecting product into the West Australian market.
According to Ramp, Namlea is touted to focus on the important electrical wholesale trade sector.
Tecksel national sales and marketing manager Mark Kofal is reportedly comfortable with the new deal, as the new distribution structure will complement Tecksel distribution in the eastern states.
