MYOB minds Web business

A contract to open access to accounting software vendor MYOB's customer database via the Internet, led to MYOB taking a 50.1 per cent equity stake in Web development company Recall Design.

Founded in 1991, Recall Design specialises in consulting on complex online application development utilising software tools including Oracle, WebObjects, eXcelon and ColdFusion.

The cash injection will allow Recall to recruit, invest in infrastructure and expand its business, while MYOB intends to use its newly acquired Internet expertise to provide access to MYOB services on a 24 x 7 basis.

ANZ gets serious about the Web

ANZ Bank and MultiEmedia.com have announced an alliance which will see ANZ take a 15 per cent stake in MultiEmedia.com, with the option to expand its stake during the three-year term of the alliance.

Under the partnership, MultiE media.com will host ANZ BizSite, a Web creation service for ANZ's small business customer base.

Meanwhile IT security provider, SecureNet has been selected to develop key infrastructure for ANZ's Internet-based services.

ISIS forms partnership for e-learning solutionsInternet developer ISIS Comm- unications has formed partnerships with two separate Victorian schools to develop e-learning solutions. Melbourne's St Michael's Grammar will help develop curriculum content for ISIS's e-learning product, XSIQ, while Bendigo Senior Secondary College will help design the modules.

More alliances

AlphaBlox, the provider of the industry's first open, Web-based platform for delivering analytical applications, has signed a deal with professional services company PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The partnership will give AlphaBlox access to PricewaterhouseCoopers' consulting expertise, while giving the consulting firm access to AlphaBlox tools.

Farming online

An agricultural software directory has been added to the Farmwide Web site which caters exclusively to the rural and agri-business audience.

AgSoftware is a free service, which contains information on many different software packages designed specifically for agriculture, such as farm finances and management, herd management, crop management and stock control.www.farmwide.com.au
