Net-InCoMe bridges divide

The gap between pure e-tailing and bricks-and-mortar businesses may be increasingly addressed by multinational companies, but small businesses are being left behind, according to the developers of a new software system designed to link Internet operations to physical retailing stores.

Net-InCoMe, a customer management system designed in Australia, caters for companies that cannot compete in the pure Internet retailing market, but at the same time understand the possibilities of Internet sales, claims managing director of Net-InCoMe developer Good Business Technology (GBT), Boris Staroselsky.

"Retailers are now in the position where they need to find a place between brick and click," he said. "Our solution helps reinforce brand names in the Internet world and capture customer information, purchasing activities and even store visits."Staroselsky, who co-developed the software with Nick Barlow, said the system was based on in-depth research of customer preferences, shopping patterns and behaviour and is already being used in shopping centres around Australia.

He claimed customer experience has shown that turnover can increase by over $1 million annually.

"You can't keep customer loyalty through price anymore, but this is good management software, which allows you to reward the loyal customer and target your marketing campaigns accordingly.

Net-InCoMe features different "modules" which can be customised for the retailer such as online order, payment processing and gift certificates.
