Security vendor, Internet Security Systems (ISS), is trialling a new product bundle aimed at helping local partners to snare SMB customers.
The SME package consists of the Proventia M10 appliance, Proventia Management SiteProtector and end-point security product the Proventia Desktop. It will be unveiled to Australian partners at a four-city roadshow that begins in Melbourne tomorrow. The vendor will then travel to Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane later this week.
"Prior to the package we weren't really focused on this market area," ISS Australasia's marketing manager, Melinda Fieldus, said. "Most of our clients were government, big banks and financial institutions."
"It is packaged with attractive pricing to sell and to engage SMBs with the whole of security bundle."
She said the product came with attractive pricing for partners to engage SMBs from their customer database.
Fieldus said the promotion had been successfully trialled overseas. The aim was to replicate that in Australia. The promotion runs till September 30.
ISS will also inform partners that it has updated its Australasian Partner Resource Centre. The Web-based portal contains product information, analyst reports, whitepapers, tech briefs, images and other material designed to aid partners.
"It was a little bit outdated. We have dramatically improved the content," Fieldus said.
