Optimiser, Veridicom International Create Secure Digital Entertainment Platform

Joint Venture Combines Patented Biometric Platform With Patented Digital Management Software

Optimiser and Veridicom International Inc. (OTCBB:VRDI) today announced the formation of a joint venture aimed at opening Hollywood and the entertainment industry to the next generation of digital distribution. The joint venture combines Veridicom’s recently launched VKI, a secure flash memory drive with enterprise user authentication capabilities and Optimiser’s Digital Management software.

The new device will allow users to download and pay for content at a wide variety of remote locations based on users’ individually-defined preferences. The device will allow only the purchaser of the content to access and open the entertainment files.

“This is the solution that the Entertainment industry has been waiting for since the internet became commonplace. With the joint venture’s device and technology digital files can be sold directly to consumers without the content owner, that is entertainment companies, fearing unauthorised copying or distribution,” stated Paul Mann, CEO of Veridicom.

“Optimiser has created a dynamic Digital Management service platform that enables the distribution and billing of digital content in real-time. Not only can we handle billions of discrete transactions, we can create an unlimited number of payment programs to support sales and rental of content whether by time or quantity. These can be tailored on an individual user basis. When we were presented with Veridicom’s VKI it was a true lightbulb moment, since we now have the ability to physically authenticate a user.” stated Leo Mullins, CEO of Optimiser.

The joint venture is a direct the result of the efforts of Carpe DM, Inc. “With the proliferation of Digital Video Recorders and broadband services, we are seeing the start of a confluence that will produce a new entertainment platform. The television set will no longer be a simple box of channeled content. This joint venture represents the gateway for a new stream of digital entertainment that protects the content owners’ rights and revenue streams,” commented Stuart Fine, CEO of Carpe DM, Inc.

“We had always known the VKI would have tremendous corporate applications, but it wasn’t until we were shown Optimiser’s software that we realised we had the potential for an incredibly significant consumer product platform,” continued Paul Mann.

The new device, dubbed “The Key to Entertainment” will be available during the second quarter of 2005. Optimiser and Veridicom are currently in discussions with retailers and content providers to ensure availability and distribution needs are met.
