E.piphany sounds integrator call

CRM software vendor E.piphany has set its sights firmly on the Asia Pacific market sinking roots in two new offices in Australia and heralding a call-to-arms for CRM integrators to join them in the fray.

The recent announcement of offices in Sydney and Melbourne signals E.piphany's first major step in its Asia Pacific expansion program and coincides with the developer's launch of the E.5 System, its next generation CRM suite.

Recording 650 per cent quarter-on-quarter growth, the timing is right for establishing a strong local presence according to Mike Ikotin, E.piphany's managing director for Australia, who hopes to cash in on the maturity of the local market.

With some research figures estimating the Australian CRM market is expected to grow from $35.87 million in 1998 to $221 million by 2003, Ikotin is looking to pick up a number of channel partners to capitalise on E.piphany's expansion.

"Australia is one of the top 10 markets for us, we are expecting significant growth and we're looking for resellers who are looking to experience the same thing," Ikotin told ARN.

"One thing which is very important as to why we considered Australia is yes there is opportunity in within the Australian market, and secondly the innovation of Australian resellers and system integrators and their abilities to operate as world class organisations. It's the Aussie innovation values - we saw that as a springboard."While E.piphany is looking for integrators, VAR's and outsourcers, Ikotin also claims an opportunity exists for ASP's who can bring this traditionally high-end CRM tool to the SME market in addition to large enterprise.

"We do what businesses want to do today, not what vendors force businesses to do," said Ikotin. "This is hot. Resellers are going to be able to make good money out of especially the product, also the services, the support and the value-add that they have with their core competencies around this," he said.

Using a Web based infrastructure the E.piphany E.5 System provides a single view of the customer and Ikotin claims it is the "Holy Grail" of CRM, combining customer analysis insight with active marketing all in real time.

The E.5 System product suite includes Enterprise Insight, Campaign Management, Real-Time Personalisation, Service Portal, Service Centre, and Connected Sales.

Products can be purchased separately or as a suite. Prices start at $US250,000.
