As enterprise application integration and Web-centric CRM applications continue to develop as one of the biggest channel opportunties of the year, one of the emerging local players has just been the subject of a management buyout.
The management team at Point Information Systems Australasia announced that it has bought the Australian and New Zealand operations from its parent company.
According to a press statement announcing the buyout, the "distribution and reseller support" company has doubled its turnover and cusomer base in the last 12 months.
"We see a real opportunity with this emerging market and we are determined to capture it," John Thompson, managing director, Point Australia. "We believe we can deliver people and resources which will allow us to grow much more quickl in his region than if we were part of a multinational," he said.
In addition to Thompson, others involved in the management buyout were Gary Broley (sales and marketing director), Mark Sellars (professional services director) and John Terranova (finance director).
