QLD software offers virtual schools'
One of the first state-sponsored classes on the Internet has been introduced to high school districts in Minnesota by US educational services provider Advanced Academics, using a Brisbane-based software development company's online education and training delivery system.
WebRaven's Dynamic Online Training System (DOTS) is a fully managed enrolment, student management, course administration and tuition delivery system for educational institutions as well as an in-house training resource for corporate employees.
Advanced Academics' online academic and technical learning program dates back to 1995, when the CEO's research for a Doctorate of Education thesis convinced him that a consistently superior quality of learning could be provided at a significantly lower cost per student.
Built around a traditional academic curriculum for high school education, the DOTS system is particularly suited to students who wish to work at their own pace, prefer to work from home or are short of one or two credits.
