Startup touch screen integrator e-Property Locator has announced a deal with real estate chain The Professionals for a proposed national rollout of terminal-based shopfront screens.
Resembling a cut down Automatic Teller Machine, the screens face out from the shop front window of real estate offices, enabling passers-by 24-hour browsing of residential, rural or commercial properties. In addition, they can speak to agents via telephone, forward property search listings to an e-mail address or fax and pay rent via BPay.
Marketed as a convergence of an information kiosk, database and Internet content, e-Property Locator has plans to roll out 130 sites nationwide, beginning with 68 by October.e-Property Locator integrates its own home-grown software with ThruGlass touch screens from point of sales supplier MicroTouch and phone connectivity from Melbourne-based telecoms designer Dallas Delta, enabling audio, video and zooming capabilities.
In development for the past 18 months, founder and managing director Kael Khudruj told ARN the company has expansion plans to move into other retail verticals.
Khudruj also has intentions of taking the system to overseas markets beginning with New Zealand and the US towards the beginning of next year.
"We don't want to rush into anything," claims Khudruj. "We're going to take our time and make sure it's all working well before we go overseas."
