Network product distributor, Pixel Productions, has been appointed an authorised distributor of Panda Software antivirus products in the Australia/New Zealand region.
Pixel will distribute the full range of Panda’s antivirus software solutions, including its EnterpriseSecure Antivirus and BusinessSecure Antivirus, as well as Panda’s home and small business product series.
The products will be available from Pixel directly, as well as through its resellers in both Australia and New Zealand. These include Harris Technology, IBM, City Software and Software Spectrum.
According to Pixel sales and marketing manager Maria Lacey, Pixel is the only distributor for Panda in Australia.
The deal is the fourth distributor arrangement for Pixel in the security products space, rounding out the company’s range of IT security networking products.
Pixel marked its intentions to enter the specialist IT security products market in April 2003 with the news that it had been appointed the first Australian/New Zealand distributor of European-based SecureWare’s host intrusion prevention solutions.
It also announced an agreement with German company, Cobion, to distribute its OrangeBox Web and email content filtering products in Australia and New Zealand in July 2003.
Pixel also has an agreement with MicroDasys to distribute its content security products.
Lacey said the company’s objective is to “deliver a true, trustworthy Microsoft Platform with leading security technology vendors”.
To formalise its commitment to the security industry, Pixel has set up a separate division called Cyber Crime Solutions, hiring experienced security staff to head it, she said.
