Foundry Networks looks set to post big quarterly results next week after recently setting up shop in Australia and signing on four reseller partners.
The high-end switch and router maker partners with NetStar Networks, Quadtel Limited, ASI Solutions, and New Zealand-based reseller Trilogy Computer Systems.
Foundry's Gordon Vick, regional manager, claims the company chose NetStar for its strength in telcos and high-end enterprise, Quadtel for its strength in the telco and ISP markets and ASI Solutions for its strengths in storage and government.
Foundry landed in Australia in April and according to Vick, had its resellers in place by June.
The company's Australian launch coincided with the acquisition of reseller, Provision, by Network Associates. Previously Provision was the only reseller selling Foundry's products in Australia, so according to Vick: "it was actually worked out quite well".
And the choice appears to have worked well, with Foundry looking to exceed its quarterly expectations by 200 per cent.
"We're delighted," said Vick, who is not looking to grow Foundry's reseller base any further for the moment.
