Enterprise portal specialist, Plumtree, has unveiled a new partner program to help its expansion in the Australian market.
The global Synergy Alliance initiative offers existing and prospective resellers access to various resources, such as a designated partner manager, demonstration software, sales support and training. It also includes a lead referral program and a dedicated partner web portal.
The program follows the vendor's announcement last year that it would employ a channel-only sales model in Australia.
Plumtree regional manager of Asia-Pacific alliances, Adam Walters, said it would use the new program to recruit up to 10 new resellers locally by the end of the year.
"We have also now increased software discounts up from 25 per cent to 40 per cent," he said.
The program was not tiered, Walters said, as Plumtree preferred to differentiate resellers by market segment.
Verticals which the company were particularly keen to recruit resellers in were retail, government and finance. In particular, those working in these segments and with proven experience in Plumtree's development architectures of J2EE and .NET were sought, Walters said.
The software company has signed up Canberra-based integrator, One Planet Solutions, to the new program based on its experience in the government sector, he said. More resellers are expected to be announced soon.
Current resellers include Volante, Pretzel Logic and specialist partners Portal Insight and Collaborative Technologies.
