In an attempt to bring itself into focus, integrator Praxa Limited last week announced a new CEO and a company restructure around three business units.
Colin Holgate will take over from George Sutherland as Praxa's CEO, with his first mission to restructure the company into three divisions: Praxa Technology, Praxa Business Solutions and Praxa Digital Media Group.
Joining Holgate at the top as senior commercial business officer is former chief financial officer Steven Sackett, and keeping an eye on the bottom line will be Steve Catanzarita as CFO.
Driving the restructure is the company's need to concentrate on its core competencies of infrastructure services, systems integration and audio/video streaming, while positioning itself as a services organisation, the company reports.
Praxa's new boss is not scared to make bold predictions for the new-look company.
"Our goal at Praxa is to become Australia's number-one IT service provider," Holgate said.
Holgate, who hails from Deloitte Consulting Australia, also plans to whip his 500-strong team into shape by ensuring all staff members are "maximising" their skills.
"I firmly believe that Praxa's greatest single asset has been its ability to attract and retain the best IT skills in Australia," said Holgate, who will spend time traveling around Australia meeting with division heads and the Praxa team.
Andrew Munro will lead Praxa Technology, Tim Foreman will lead Praxa Business Solutions, and Brian Walsh will lead Praxa Digital Media Group.
