IPT Systems has managed to gain access to millions of SME customers worldwide after a complex software deal with a network of accountancy practices.
IPT Systems was hand-picked by Hypertrade, a firm contracted by the Accountants Global Network (AGN), to form a B2B exchange for AGN customers.
AGN represents accountancy practices in over 71 countries with a total customer base of more than three million businesses. The contract makes every one of these businesses a potential client for IPT Systems, which will supply the Internet payment systems for global exchange between AGN customers.
"This is a big deal for us," said IPT CEO Adrian Floate. "Our alliance with Hypertrade means that we have an extensive global distribution channel."
IPT will be asked to provide everything from transactional software through to domain name registrations for AGN customers. Its solutions include E-Remit, an Internet-based remittance and payment product, I-NetPOS, a set of secure payment applications, and NETEDI, an automated supply chain solution.
Floate also expects to gain additional revenue from the partners of these companies. He is confident that for every client which comes on board, one of its suppliers or clients will be convinced to use the same technology to link the back-end systems seamlessly. "Ultimately our customers are the customers of our customers," he said. "Our business model was once likened to a virus!"
