American Power Conversion (APC) has announced a series of global services designed to provide a significant value add to the channel.
According to APC sources, the services are the first of their kind to be offered through the Australian and New Zealand channels.
The program is aimed at the corporate sector and offers end-to-end service and support for power planning, design and management through a single point of accountability.
The services packages already offered through the channel include startup services, preventative maintenance, PowerPlan extended warranty service, on-site support service and an annual maintenance program.
The services provisions take much of the onus of responsibility off the channel players, without depriving them of the sale.
APC will check functionality of the system to ensure compliance with stated technical specifications and will guarantee the system is operating according to APC standards, ensuring that the full warranty will apply.
APC is also offering a once-a-year visual and electronic inspection of UPS systems to ensure they are performing to all technical and environmental specifications.
APC's general manager, Australia/New Zealand, Leanne Cunnold, commented that the services would result in an increase in sales through the channel, because they added value to the sale.
