Specialty distributor ACA Pacific has signed an agreement with storage giant Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) to supply HDS' Freedom series products nationally.
ACA Pacific specialises in supplying storage and document imaging products to its 1800 plus customers across Australia and considers the HDS contract a major win in its efforts to lead in storage distribution. It currently distributes the likes of Exabyte, Legato, Quantum, Seagate and Veritas. The new contract covers the distribution of the Freedom Storage Lightning 9900 series of products.
ACA Pacific marketing manager Debra Papworth believes the company is the only specialist storage distributor in the country, but said it was too difficult to calculate its market share.
"Nationally, ACA Pacific has developed strong marketing and distribution channels for its offering which will provide significant opportunities for Hitachi Data System's product and service portfolio," said Garry Scarborough, marketing director for HDS.
